That’s great to hear. He seemed determined when I met him in April; I’m not surprised he’s doing well. So … in the larger scheme of things, where is Pine Grove State Park? And what’s the deal with the free ice cream?

Ran into and talked for a short while with “Country Gold” yesterday(7/27/2010). He had just completed the AT section I oversee from Big Flat parking lot to Woodrow Road and was looking forward to stopping at Pine Grove State Park for his ice cream! He seems in good spirits and should complete the trail this year barring any problems on the northern sections.
