There is a statewide coalition dedicated to changing our culture and promoting getting children outdoors, active, and staying fit physically and mentally-n while having fun and building connections to nature. NC Children and Nature Coalition (NCCAN!) has a website full of ideas and resources for families, educators, health care professionals, and others. The coalition is the state affiliate of Louv's national Children and Nature Network and offers resources, promotes partner organization's efforts and programs and influences legislation that fits our mission.

We are currently still getting our partners across the state listed but welcome all who share our mission. Check out the website www.ncchildrenandnature.org and follow us on Twitter at NCCAN1 or Facebook at NC Children and Nature Coalition. Questions? jbailey@nczoo.com
