We hiked from the Mt. Mitchell parking lot to Deep Gap and back, so Potato Hill was my last SB6K. As we sat at Deep Gap eating lunch we heard the first rumblings and we got drenched on the way back, but not for too long.

My husband and I passed the rest stops on the BRP as we “drove” up to Mt. Mitchell. We were there to hike part of the Black Mtn Crest Trail for me to complete the SB6K challenge. So a big day for you and me too!
