Description
Welcome to our Winter 2023 Hike Series! This series provides you the incentive to keep hiking through winter, and the opportunity to explore a different trail every week while enjoying the camaraderie of other hikers. We focus on the trails less traveled, at the times less traveled, to avoid the crowds that have become prevalent in the past two years. In addition to a weekly guided hike we provide you with a guide for each hike, making it easy to explore the trail on your own later on, if you choose.
Details
What: 8 Sunday hikes on trails mostly in the Triangle.
Experience level: Our hikes are geared toward hikers with some experience. That doesn’t mean you have to be fast; we lead our hikes from the rear, so no one is left behind.
Hike leader: I (Joe) will lead at least 5 of these hikes
Shuttle hikes: This session we will resume doing self-shuttle hikes, when appropriate. So instead of a 5-mile hike being an out-and-back, it might be a 5-mile point-to-point.
When: Sundays beginning January 8 and running through March 5. We hike at 10 a.m. The program includes:
- Every Wednesday you’ll receive a detailed guide for each hike, including map, route description, route overview, directions and other details about the trail.
- GetHiking! Guide to 25 Triangle Trails
- GetHiking! Guide to Winter Hiking
Cost: $165, $295 for couples and families.
