Monday — never an easy time for the outdoors enthusiast. After a weekend of adventure, returning to the humdrum work-a-day world can make one melancholy. Late Sunday afternoon. A kind of melancholy kicks in with the realization that another weekend of play is drawing to a close, another week punching the clock is about to begin. It’s a curious melancholy, one less driven by funk, more by appreciation — appreciation, for many of us, that we do indeed have this time to hike, to bike, to paddle, to play.
