90 Second Escape: Late Sunday afternoon

Monday — never an easy time for the outdoors enthusiast. After a weekend of adventure, returning to the humdrum work-a-day world can make one melancholy. To help ease the transition, every Monday we feature a 90 Second Escape — essentially, a 90-second video of a place you’d probably rather be: a trail, a park, a greenway, a lake … anywhere as long as it’s not under a fluorescent bulb.

Today’s 90-Second Escape: Late Sunday afternoon.

Late Sunday afternoon. A kind of melancholy kicks in with the realization that another weekend of play is drawing to a close, another week punching the clock is about to begin. It’s a curious melancholy, one less driven by funk, more by appreciation — appreciation, for many of us, that we do indeed have this time to hike, to bike, to paddle, to play.

Join us for a 90 second appreciation of this past Sunday afternoon’s waning moments, at Lake Crabtree.
