Monday — never an easy time for the outdoors enthusiast. After a weekend of adventure, returning to the humdrum work-a-day world can make one melancholy. To help ease the transition, every Monday we feature a 90 Second Escape — essentially, a 90-second video of a place you’d probably rather be: a trail, a park, a greenway, a lake … anywhere as long as it’s not under a fluorescent bulb.
Today’s 90-Second Escape: Fall: Hello? Goodbye?
Our inclination is to bid an early farewell to fall. A hot summer early on and drenching rains in September have seemed to put an early end to fall’s color display. And yet, we notice that pockets linger posing something of a Beatlean dilemma: Do we say hello to continued viewing opportunities or goodbye to the festive part of the season? Not that that should keep you from getting out of a hike.
And we change formats this week: A slideshow for a video. Some things just come across better in still images.
