Monday — never an easy time for the outdoors enthusiast. After a weekend of adventure, returning to the humdrum work-a-day world can make one melancholy. To help ease the transition, every Monday we feature a 90 Second Escape — essentially, a 90-second video or slide show of a place you’d probably rather be: a trail, a park, a greenway, a lake … anywhere as long as it’s not under a fluorescent bulb.
Today’s 90-Second Escape: A Winter’s Day at Raven Rock
Amid our flaky weather of late — 9 degrees one day, 50 two days later, snow a couple days after that — you feel especially fortunate when you manage to hit a quintessential winter day. Blue bird skies, temperatures in the 40s, a good group to share it with. That’s what we have here, on Sunday, on the trails at Raven Rock State Park with our GetHiking! Triangle hiking group.
